Curve deviations usually come from a few common issues:
-
Gas pressure fluctuation – Check that the gas pressure is within the recommended range (typically 3–5 kPa). Low or unstable pressure directly affects the heating rate.
-
Probe carbon buildup – The bean‑temperature probe gets coated with soot and chaff over time, causing a delayed temperature reading. Gently sand the probe tip with fine sandpaper to restore sensitivity.
-
PID drift – If the above are fine, run an empty‑load PID auto‑tune to let the system recalibrate itself.
