Coffee trees can generally be divided into five main varieties, among which Arabica and Robusta are the most common.

Arabica accounts for more than 70% of global coffee production. This variety is generally cultivated on slopes at altitudes above 900 meters and is mainly produced in tropical high-altitude regions such as Central and South America, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii.

Arabica coffee is known for its pleasant aroma and rich flavor profile. However, this variety requires more manual care and has higher requirements for stable temperature and humidity conditions. Therefore, its price is relatively higher.

With stronger environmental adaptability, Robusta accounts for approximately 30% of global coffee production.

Its flavor is relatively less complex, with a more pronounced bitterness. More importantly, its caffeine content is 2–3 times higher than that of Arabica coffee.

Robusta is generally grown on slopes at altitudes between 200 and 600 meters. It requires much less manual care, making it more affordable.

It is commonly used in canned coffee and instant coffee products.
